The Valentine's Day... "Not a Valentine's Day" Message

Dear Olmert,

I know the subject is confusing... The truth is I may be confused. I am confused because you are my Prime Minister and I want you to succeed. But there are things I don't like and I wish to tell you that clearly. Yet when you do something good you win me over, and have my support. That support, however, is not unconditional.

My expectation of my Prime Minister is total devotion to the work of securing this people. And that devotion requires my support and the support of others. You have my support, but you must demonstrate your devotion. Do that not with words, but with action.

Prove the naysayers wrong. Surprise the pundits. Secure this people by breaking through the fog of doubt. Act on your beliefs, and I believe your beliefs will lead you well. But don't let anything on anyone lead you. Lead.

One thing I am not confused about: You have to go beyond your reasons to create conditions for peace between us and our neighbors. THere are plenty of reasons not to try. Be unreasonable. Try.
