Responsibly resigning...

Dear Olmert,

How are you? This must be a difficult day, as you have announced last night your intention to resign. You probably feel a certain ease as well.

This was a courageous choice you made. You do have courage and I wonder if this courage was fully applied to resolving our conflict. You said:

I continue to believe with all my heart that achieving peace, the cessation of terror, strengthening security, creating a different relationship with our neighbors - these are the most essential goals for Israel's future.

Were these goals most essential during your prime ministership? You added:

On the day the dream of peace comes true we will all stand and wonder: How did we not achieve this sooner?
